“Inspirational” is how members of WSPA described the talk by Dr. Deepak Chopra at the National Press Club on April 4th.

“Listen to the listener,” advised Dr. Chopra, when seeking spiritual solutions to life’s challenges. Describing sources for his new book “Spiritual Solutions,” he shared insights on his work habits and beliefs about the importance of spirituality in our life today.

“Expanding awareness of how interdependent we are,” he said, “will lead to wellbeing.” He called for awareness of the universe as an extension of spiritual health.

Members of WSPA joined a large audience at the National Press Club event, which was televised by C-Span and webcast live.

“WOW, what an event” said Susan Gwaltney. I think that the food was spa-cuisine, and of course the speech and Q&A from Deepak Chopra was thoughtful, inspirational (OK, I had a tear when he asked all of us to “listen to the listener”) and at times funny.”

Life is full of challenges, both big and small, states the book cover. Drawn from experiences at the Chopra Center for Wellbeing in California, and letters from around the world, “Spiritual Solutions” offers both comfort and hope.

“Nobody listens to advice,” said Dr. Chopra at the end of his talk. Then we lined up for him to autograph his book. Available at booksellers, as an EBook, and on audio from Random House, “Spiritual Health” is published by Harmony Books.
